FFPC $1250 Dynasty Week 6 Recap
CKC and Murphy's Law are clearly among the Haves and in the top 2 in both total points and VPs. They currently occupy the all important bye positions at this stage. These two teams were also involved in a blockbuster trade (with each other) in each of the last two weeks, both seemingly designed to make Murphy stronger (Fred Jackson and Dwayne Bowe) and CKC younger (Rashard Mendenhall and Jermichael Finley). It will be interesting to monitor how these trades affect the two teams going forward.
Following very closely behind are Team Calvin and Invictus, also among the Haves. Team Calvin is the third highest scoring team thus far and Invictus the 5th, so no signs of a fluke here. A good Week 7 for these two could easily put one or both in the bye slots ahead of CKC and Murphy.
Hanging on for dear life in the early playoff race and still among the Haves are Galaxy Aces and Cornfins. After a hot start, Galaxy has had a string of three consecutive low scoring weeks (each under 120 pts), dropping from 1st in total points to 7th. Can Galaxy right the ship and hang on for a wildcard birth? Cornfins has been looking VERY strong as of late behind league MVP candidate Jimmy Graham and could very well ascend into the race for the top 2 before long.
Neither a Have nor a Have Not and in its own tier is Show Me Your TDs. Although only 1 VP out of the playoff group, Show Me has made a clear effort to get younger by trading for Torrey Smith a few weeks ago and this week acquiring Damian Williams and a 2012 2nd rounder for Antonio Gates (on the week Gates makes it back onto the field). Then again, these particular players appear to be primed to make a contribution in 2011, so this could be a sneaky play to win now as well.
Finally, we have the Have Nots - Mount Vernon, Qwik-6, Desert Wind, For Taylar and Three Arch. Interestingly, Qwik-6, Three Arch and Desert Wind were the top 3 teams during the regular season in 2010 (in both VPs and total points). This year is a whole different story. We're only in Week 7, so one or more of these five teams may sneak into the playoffs when its all said and done.
There could be big shift in all of this in Week 7. Most teams are short handed this week, so scoring is likely to be low, and anything can happen. Good luck everyone!

Interestingly, the bottom two teams in the standings are stacked with talent, so I wouldn't be surprised to see those two teams rise in the standings really quickly. Three Arc's lineup includes Matt Forte, Mark Ingram, Roddy White, AJ Green, Chris Wells and Santonio Holmes among others. Not to be outdone, Qwik-6 boasts a BENCH of Deangelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Mike Tolbert, Reggie Bush and Kellen Winslow!!!
This week's new entrant into the playoff picture is Team CALVIN (formerly, Team Legacy, Red Blue Radio, Ryan Williams Experience, etc.). CALVIN was last in his division just last week but a huge 4 VP week has changed everything (except for the team name, thankfully). Cornfins, behind 2 wins in a row, is now only 1 VP out of the last spot.
Murpy's Law continues to dominate with another 4 VP week (behind a monster week from Aaron Rodgers) and is now 2nd in total points. CKC also took down 4VPs this week and is now in 1st in total points. Galaxy decided to take a breather this week and is comfortably in third in VPs and points.

WEEK 3 RECAP
Its only been three weeks, but they were an important three weeks - all division games. As a result, we are now starting to see a little separation in the division standings.
Largent Division: Two 4 VP weeks in a row for Invictus behind the production of Gronkowski and Wallace have catapulted the team into first place with 8 VPs. Mount Vernon is close behind at 6VP. Mount Vernon just barely missed out on a 4 VP week behind the efforts of Daniel Thomas and the monster game by Wes Welker. Show Me is also only 2 VP back as well despite 2 losses in a row. In last but well within one good week's striking range is Team Calvin led by, you guessed it, Calvin. Top to bottom on points, the teams are all within 40 points of each other.
Monk Division: After a slow week 1, Murphy's Law has also strung together two 4 VP weeks to reach a total of 9 VP and to take the division lead (and third in the league in points). This week's 4 VP were even more important as they came at the expense of Desert Wind, the division leader the prior two weeks. Desert Wind is only 2 VP behind but suffered the loss of one of the hottest WRs in the game, Kenny Britt. As with Galaxy last week, no public outcry from Desert. Fortunately for Desert Wind, he acquired one of the hotter waiver wire pickups the other week in Eric Decker (very nice job). Cornfins and Qwik are both 5 VP out of the lead and will need a good week 4 to get back into the race. Cornfins missed out on a 4 VP week this week by a mere .60 points.
Rice Division: Galaxy Aces leads the entire league with 11 VP and 506 points after another 4 VP week behind Brady, Rice and McFadden. With or without Charles, Galaxy Aces is still clearly the team to beat. Hanging on though is CKC with two consecutive 4 VP weeks of his own (and second overall in points). Nothing flashy, but each position player for CKC did score double digits. For Taylar has 4 VP for the year and is quickly falling behind the pace thanks to Galaxy and For Taylar's last place scoring for the week (with 5 position players in single digits including a bagel from Branch). Three Arch is still searching for that first VP. With Chris Wells purportedly coming back, perhaps Week 4 will be the week.
