This page is for news, updates and articles specifically written for the benefit and enjoyment of the players in the $1250 FFPC Dynasty League. It will remain open to the public as well for those interested in checking out the happenings in this league. All of the information here can also be found at our league web page at http://leagues.myffpc.com/fantasy-football-league/74826 so coming to this page is by no means a necessity for the players. I wanted to be able to better organize the articles here (as opposed to being scattered on the message board), and I am also able to drop in some cool pictures to spice things up a bit.

Week 2 Recap

WEEK 2 RECAP:

Teams put up some big scores this week with the league average topping 150. Here is how it went down:

INVICTUS AND SHOW ME YOUR TDS:

We have to start with this one with all the build up and trash talking between these two teams starting in the preseason. Both teams had monster games out of several players (Wallace and Gronkowski for Invictus and ADP, Turner and Gonzo for SMYT) but Invictus had better consistency throughout to take round 1 of what may be a battle for this division all season long. The zeroes from Lloyd (inactive) and Gates (just SHUT DOWN) for SMYT hurt in a big way and potentially could have been the difference here.

MURPHY'S LAW AND CORNFINS:

Nice bounceback week for Murphy to take the early lead in this division with the help of 20+ games from 5 different players (Rodgers, Mathews, SJohnson, Hernandez and Jets). Cornfins was the unlucky loser of this one with a nice score of 165 behind big games from Fitz and Fitz and only one player in single digits.

MOUNT VERNON AND TEAM CALVIN:

After a fast start out of the gate for Mount Vernon in Week 1, they fell hard in this one with five players in single digits and only Rivers over 20. However, with Daniel Thomas now in action and the ever dangerous Wes Welker, look for this team to bounce back next week. Team Calvin put up a few stinkers as well with four in single digits and Mike Williams (TB) with a whopping 1 catch for -4 yards. The difference of course was Jahvid Best's 30 and Jeremy Maclin's eye-popping 42!

QWIK AND DESERT WIND:

This one was over before it started and by the end of the day, Desert Wind had himself a 77-point win. Desert Wind took down the high score this week with 196.5 behind the monster games by Hillis, Austin and Britt. Desert Wind is now in 2nd overall in points for the season. QWIK had a 4-point week last week so he is still only 3 VP out of the lead for this division. Lowlights for QWIK included 4-point efforts from Felix Jones and Desean Jackson, both due to injury.

GALAXY ACES AND FOR TAYLAR:

Business as usual for the champ with yet another win. The big story of the week though was the devastating injury suffered by Jamaal Charles. To Galaxy's credit, he hasn't whined publicly about the loss like I would (and have ad nauseam this week in a number of key dynasty leagues including another FFPC dynasty). Tom Brady, Darren McFadden and Ray Rice again propelled Galaxy to the win despite the loss of Charles. For Taylar took low score honors this week with 6 single digit performances.

3ARCH AND CKC:

CKC had a strong week highlighted by the Jacksons Vincent and Fred to put the team back into early contention for the division. 3Arch stayed within striking range for most of the day on Sunday with strong performances from Matt Forte and rookie stud AJ Green, but Nambdi Asomugha dashed any hopes of a comeback by shutting down 3Arch star Roddy White on Sunday night.
